There should be a 'New posts' button on the top where the Home, help, search, members, Profile and Messages are at. The button would help out a lot as when you press it, it shows a list of all the recently made and updated threads. MANY forums have this including total freedom.
How to do it (Only forum mods can do this):
1. Go onto demonfreedom.boards.net/admin/settings/navigation
2. Find the button that says 'Add Custom'
3. Now you have a new one. On the first white box is the name. Call it 'New Posts' and on the second white box type in /threads/recent
4. Save it and you are done.
I recommend you put the newly made button right next to the 'Home' button but that is up to you
